- ANDREA FELTRIN
Andrea Feltrin is a filmmaker and comedian who lives on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh-ulh Temíx̱w (Squamish) and səl̓ilwətaɁɬ təməxʷ (Tsleil-Waututh) peoples in Vancouver, BC. In 2014, she co-founded Eyecon Media, a video production company specializing in creative short-form content. She’s since produced 9 short films, 3 micro documentaries, 1 web series, 5 comedy sketches and over 20 commercials. Her various short films have screened across the world wide web, with several receiving festival accolades and audience choice awards, including Girl Band (2017), A Sprinkle in Time (2017), and Retreat (2016).
In 2019, Andrea was selected to attend the initial Writers Room program at Prime Time in Ottawa. In 2020 she was chosen to participate in the Business for Producers Program through the National Screen Institute alongside other emerging producers from across Canada. She founded Birdsht Films in 2020 to further develop her slate of film and TV projects. In 2021 she was selected for the Whistler Film Festival Screenwriters Lab with her dark comedy, Chum, a feature film screenplay that has since made several competition shortlists.
With a knack for performing and a weird addiction to making people laugh, Andrea has been involved with various improv troupes, theatre companies, and stand up comedy shows for many years. She previously worked in development at Screen Siren Pictures and served as the event manager for the Vancouver Short Film Festival.
With a deep sense of character, comedy, and storytelling, Andrea enjoys creating thought-provoking content with humour and heart.
